Role Overview

We're looking for a Financial Accountant to help deliver quality financial information and drive continuous improvement across our Accounting team. You'll be a key contributor to Xero's month-end close process, supporting our financial reporting requirements as a listed issuer.

Key Responsibilities

Contribute to Xero's month-end close process and balance sheet reconciliations
Support financial reporting requirements as a listed issuer
Work across multiple aspects of accounting from balance sheet reconciliations to technical accounting support
Take ownership of driving process improvements and reducing manual effort
Support half-year and annual reporting cycles, including audit support and external disclosures
Implement AI tools and emerging technologies to streamline workflows

Requirements & Eligibility

Chartered Accountant qualification or on your way to one
Strong technical accounting knowledge
Eye for process improvement and enthusiasm for finding efficiencies
Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyse financial results
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
Genuine collaboration skills and commitment to building strong relationships
Curiosity towards emerging tools like AI
