Role Overview

The Supercompute Observability Software team owns keeping our supercompute centers running reliably at the unprecedented scale required for frontier AI training and inference by building software systems and platforms.

Xai is building Super Intelligence to help humanity understand the universe, developing the full Super Intelligence stack from Colossus supercomputers to Grok models.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate multi-service production systems (UI, APIs, data pipelines, auth, and on-call)
Design, build, and operate predictive and analytical tools that inform better design and operations of future and current supercompute centers
Develop frontend visualizations, interactive dashboards, and UI components
Work day to day with users, in person, to rapidly incorporate feedback and process improvements

Requirements & Eligibility

Super Intelligence (SI) driven software development practices
Programming experience in Python, Rust, C++, Java, or similar languages
Experience working with Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, or similar database management systems
Proven ownership of correctness-sensitive systems - state machines, workflows, or operational data
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a STEM discipline and 3+ years of professional software development experience; OR 5+ years in lieu of a degree
