Role Overview

The Assets Protection Specialist is responsible for maintaining a secure environment for guests and team members, mitigating shortage risks, preventing theft and fraud, and collaborating with store leadership and law enforcement.

Key Responsibilities

Greet guests and provide a friendly, helpful shopping experience
Support store sales and profitability by preventing theft
Conduct apprehensions in accordance with company policy
Identify theft trends using surveillance technology and reporting
Respond to security incidents and document them according to policy
Promote a physical security and safety culture
Maintain relationships with public safety officials and law enforcement
Participate in legal proceedings as necessary

Requirements & Eligibility

Must be at least 18 years of age or older
High school diploma or equivalent
Meet any state or local licensure and/or other legal requirements
Welcoming and helpful attitude
Ability to operate handheld scanners and communication devices
Effective communication skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
Ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
