Role Overview

The 451 MAKB team is seeking a detail-oriented and highly curious researcher to gather and process data and insight related to acquisition and funding of technology companies.

About S&p global market intelligence

451 Research’s M&A Knowledgebase (MAKB) is the mergers and acquisitions database of 451 Research, which was acquired by S&P Global Market Intelligence in December 2019.

Key Responsibilities

Process data and apply it in an accurate manner to the database using 451 Research standards
Source and validate announced transactions for determination of coverage from data derived from multiple sources
Good understanding of public and private company financial data
Deliver on pre-defined daily deal entry deadlines for newsletter publishing with quality and efficiency
Build industry knowledge by understanding industry technology and M&A trends
Provides input and ideas for new and optimized methods and improvements related to the daily workflow
Troubleshoot problems or issues and provide support to the team

Requirements & Eligibility

Academic Qualifications – Bachelor’s/Master’s degree or equivalent; an advanced degree in a related field is welcome
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
High level of organization and self-direction
Excellent online research capabilities
Excellent written communications skills
Strong desire to learn more about technology and finance
