Develop, maintain, and update REST APIs used by business applications and internal tools

Write and optimize SQL queries to retrieve, insert, update, and manage data in relational databases

Ensure API responses accurately reflect stored data and follow established application patterns

Implement request validation, appropriate error handling, and consistent API responses

Debug backend issues by tracing API requests, reviewing application logs, and investigating database queries

Assist in integrating backend services with external partners and third-party APIs using their documentation

Write and update tests to verify functionality, reliability, and expected API behavior

Document API endpoints, request parameters, responses, and changes for other developers and teams

Requirements & Eligibility

Strong problem-solving and logical reasoning abilities
Working knowledge of backend programming in at least one language, preferably Python
Familiarity with FastAPI and Python is preferred (Java or Node.js experience accepted if willing to learn quickly)
Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
Understanding of REST APIs, HTTP methods, JSON, and request-response cycles
Basic knowledge of Git and GitHub
Clear written communication skills and willingness to learn
