Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Financial Crime Investigator to serve as Monzo's frontline defence against complex economic crime, safeguarding our ecosystem and business customers against sophisticated fraud and money laundering.

Key Responsibilities

Taking ownership of the most complex FinCrime Business Banking tasks, including multi-jurisdictional money muling investigations and Transaction Monitoring Reviews
Writing and submitting high-quality Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to the National Crime Agency (NCA)
Maintaining a regular schedule on core investigative tasks to support Service Level Agreements
Actively coaching Investigators on complex financial crime typologies and best practices
Working closely with Operations Analysts to share emerging trends and update operational guidance

Requirements & Eligibility

Deep KYB & AML expertise with significant experience conducting end-to-end business due diligence (KYB/EDD) and investigations within a regulated financial setting
Skilled researcher with a proven ability to leverage open-source intelligence and analysis
Strong grasp of UK and international financial crime trends affecting business accounts and the UK SAR regime
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt positively to shifting priorities
Experience mentoring peers or relevant qualification such as ICA or ACAMS
