Role Overview

We are looking for a Credit Risk Oversight Manager to join our growing second line of defence Credit Risk Oversight team, providing support and challenge to our Borrowing teams to help Monzo grow safely.

Key Responsibilities

Providing ongoing oversight of credit risk including analyzing and understanding performance of existing lending products
Partnering with first line of defence teams to support credit strategy changes including new product launches and pilots
Delivering deep insight, feedback and challenge on credit strategies
Leading second line assurance work on thematic reviews
Collaborating with model validation and model development teams
Providing credit expertise and input into relevant strategic projects
Supporting maintenance of the Credit Risk Framework

Requirements & Eligibility

Proven experience in consumer credit risk
Experience and in-depth knowledge of retail unsecured or small business credit risk strategy within financial services
Hands-on experience in shaping or overseeing lending strategies
Strong background in credit risk management within consumer or small business lending
Proven analytical skills
Hands-on experience and/or understanding of how to use credit risk scorecards and NPV models
Solid technical toolkit with SQL as a must-have
