Role Overview

We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to define technical solutions for critical business problems and lead the technical direction for complex, high-scale systems within our hybrid team in London.

Key Responsibilities

Drive Technical Excellence by acting as a subject matter expert and providing high-level reviews
Architect Scalable Solutions by defining and designing technical solutions for complex business problems
Lead Strategic Direction by influencing the long-term technical roadmap and managing project timelines
Mentor and coach engineers across all levels to scale the engineering culture
Shape the team by leading engineering interviews and contributing to recruiting strategy

Requirements & Eligibility

Significant experience building web-based applications at scale
Proficiency in languages such as Go, Ruby/Rails, Python, Scala, React or Rust
Practical experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL backends (Redis, DynamoDB, or Elasticsearch)
Proven ability to design and operate systems handling massive request volumes
Strong understanding of how to align multiple disciplines and teams to resolve ambiguous technical challenges
