Shift Associate Chemist

Role Overview

As the Shift Associate Chemist, you will be responsible for ensuring all testing activities are carried out in a safe and productive manner, assuring compliance with in-house and/or external specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Provide testing, result reviewing, equipment calibration and maintenance as well as analytical services to Plant Operations to ensure seamless and smooth process operations
Ensure all operations in the Analytical Laboratory are carried out in a safe and productive manner, adhering to GMP/GLP and ISO/IEC 17025 standards at all times
Assist in method transfers, equipment qualification, troubleshooting and determining root cause for quality issues on production floor
Alert engineering and operations to conditions that may adversely impact the customer experience
Assist in batch corrections and lab investigations

Requirements & Eligibility

Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Technology or related discipline, or Diploma with at least 1 to 3 years of experience
Preferably 1 year experience in a chemistry laboratory testing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Basic knowledge in laboratory instrumentation, such as HPLC, UV, ICP, etc.
Practical experience working in a fast-paced laboratory environment with tight deadlines
Able and willing to work shift hours
